Anseong’s Bak Dujin Literature Museum is taking a bold step to bring literature closer to everyday life. Beginning Nov. 11 and continuing through Dec. 8, the museum will present a traveling exhibition, “Anseong Writers of the Year 2025,” across eight public venues—from university libraries to cultural centers—inviting citizens to encounter local literary voices where they live, study, and gather.
The exhibition features mobile panels and interactive literary quizzes, designed to transform ordinary spaces into small hubs of creativity and curiosity.
This year’s selected writers — poet Park Seung-yeol, novelist Jeong Ho-jae, and children’s literature author Kim Se-sil will also lead creative writing classes for citizens, culminating in the publication of a community anthology titled The Joy of Thinking later this year.
City officials say the initiative is part of a larger effort to strengthen Anseong’s cultural identity by making literature an accessible and shared experience. “We hope this traveling exhibition allows residents to rediscover the value of local literature in their everyday routines,” the museum noted.
As the panels move from venue to venue, so too does the idea that literature is not confined to museums or classrooms—it can be found wherever people gather, read, and imagine.
